Babylon

Babylon is a high yielding, yellow fleshed chipping and processing variety with an attractive skin finish.

The tubers are large, oval long and have shallow eyes. Babylon’s sugar levels remain stable throughout storage resulting in excellent frying and eating qualities.

Phosphate: standard advice.

Plant spacing
35/45mm: 30cm (37,000 plants/Ha).
45/55mm: 36cm (31,000 plants/Ha).

Herbicide sensitivity
Metribuzin (Sencorex) can be used.

Fungicides
Maintain a preventative spray program against Late Blight.

Storage
Has very long dormancy and is suitable for long term storage.
