Jacky

Jacky is a high yielding, early salad variety with very high tuber numbers. Excellent taste and resistance to Foliage and Tuber Blight.

Both stem number and tuber number per plant are very high, with tuber populations up to 2.2 million/Ha producing a high marketable yield. The variety has excellent Foliage and Tuber Blight resistance and is one of the Next Generation of Blight resistant varieties. Good eating quality.

Cultivation
It is recommended to apply a seed treatment against Rhizoctonia.
Maintain soil moisture levels through the tuber initiation stage of growth to avoid common scab.

Plant spacing
30/40mm: 17cm (98,000 plants/Ha) for 3 rows in a 1.8m bed.
40/50mm: 19cm (88,000 plants/Ha) for 3 rows in a 1.8m bed.

Fungicides
Continue to monitor Hutton criteria for blight alerts.

Storage
Refrigeration is required for long term storage as the variety has medium dormancy.
