Manitou

Manitou is a high yielding maincrop red variety with excellent eating characteristics and long term storability.

The tubers are oval long with shallow eyes. Manitou has a firm cooking type and has scored highly in sensory evaluation studies. It is suitable for baking, roasting, home fries and makes a lovely, smooth mashed potato. Has good heat tolerance and grows well on most soil types. Proven to out-yield Desiree with better disease resistance and dry matter.
